I looooooove bath bombs! But they’re too spendy to do all the time for a girl on a budget (ahem, me all day, every day). So instead of buying some artificially colored bath bomb from the mall, I decided to make my own, all-natural version with the scents I love. They have a sparkling orange color form the Alaea Sea Salt, tinted from the Hawaiian clay it’s derived from and a heavenly aroma of spruce, lavandin and orange.
I’m so excited for halloween! Now that I’ve finally dealt with that fact that it’s really fall, I’m ready to start getting into the festive spirit and begin decorating. As much as I love this spooky holiday, I’m just not the type to put tombstones out front, so instead, I did a quick little doormat DIY with a a cheeky statement that celebrates everyone’s halloween sweet tooth in a more adult kind of way.
If you’ve never tried wodburning before, this is the perfect project to get you started! It’s such a fun and easy way to add a handmade touch to a set of wooden spoons or salad tong. Perfect for a quick hostess gift or present at the holiday season.
I’m so excited about this project! I love a good koozie, not only does it conceal my beverage of choice, but it keeps it nice and cold. The best part is they’re super cheap if you buy them blank, and with this easy DIY, you can customize it in whatever way you’d like.
I’ve been playing with crystals and air plants a lot lately, and today I have a fun project that’s perfect for small spaces. My teensy-weensy apartment doesn’t have a lot of horizontal surfaces, so having plants and decor that hangs is a huge space-saver for me. For the full crystal planter tutorial, head to Jojotastic.
In the dog days of summer, there’s only one item in wardrobe that I find myself reaching for again and again — my trusty cutoffs! As big as the distressed look is right now, I have a few pairs of shorts that are getting a bit too distressed and could seriously use a revamp. So I incorporated the photo-flower trend and am transforming them with this super easy DIY! Head over to Jojotastic for the full tutorial.
So I’ll admit, I don’t have the greenest of thumbs, and many innocent plants have met their end in my little garden. But the last thing I need are slugs doing that for me! So to keep the few remaining basil plants I have safe from greedy snails, I used slug-proof copper tape to make a super-cute planter. Head over to Jojotastic for the full tutorial.
Summer is hard on my skin. It seems like no mater how much try, I always get at least one really bad sunburn, and this year was no exception. So I combined all of my favorite sun-burn home remedies into one, ultimate lotion. For the full tutorial, head over to Jojotastic and whip some up for yourself.
Never underestimate the power of wearing flowers in your hair. Slipping a freshly picked bloom into your do drastically changes your day and lift any mood. My personal style veers less towards girly and floral, so I did a modern take on this traditional summer hair accessory and added Tillandsia and Succulents to the mix.
