Every Memorial Day weekend we hightail it out of the city to pitch our tent by a river, roast s’mores over the campfire and completely un-plug… and every Memorial Day weekend I get more mosquito bites than I can count. So this year I’m completely surrounding myself with citronella candles. Check out the full tutorial over on Clementine Daily!
Since I started doing this series a few weeks ago, I’ve been totally amazing by the sheet number of incredible DIY projects being put out every week. It’s been really interesting to see the trends that clearly emerge (like last week where three of my favorite blogger all made benches!) and other projects that have a more subtle link.
I am soooo excited that the sun is finally starting to make a regular appearance in Seattle’s weather! The only thing is, I’m as pale as them come — we’re talkin’ angry red sunburn in ten minutes flat kinda pale. So needless to say, one of my favorite summertime accessories in the sunhat.
This year I wanted to add a little something extra to my obligatory headwear routine. So Joanna and I took a cue from our favorite wardrobe staple, the statement tee, and put a spin on it with looping ribbon script to create… the statement hat!
I think this peak of spring weather has everyone dreaming about gardening, because this week there has been so many adorable planters! Here’s 6 of my favorites:
This week, I noticed a lot of my favorite online crafters take on a material that can be a little intimidating for some: wood! From cut-outs to paint treatments, adding fun touches of light birch or darker tones couldn’t be easier. Here’s some projects to get you going:
You guys, have you tried the sheet mask trend? I am in love with them! My skin has never been this soft. Even though this is the easiest and most relaxing face mask ever, there are a couple of draw backs. First, they get pretty spendy, after two a week my wallet starts feeling these sheet masks even more than my pores, and second is that they make you look terrifying.
I created a DIY version for one of my favorite blogs, Clementine Daily, that solves both problems! My version’s super inexpensive to make and a lot nicer to look at. You can find the full tutorial here!
I can’t believe it’s almost Mother’s Day! This year is seriously flying by, but there’s always time to make your mom a special little something to let her know how much you care. Here’s a few of my favorite projects I’ve seen floating around lately that will bring a smile to any mom.
Last weekend was my big spring cleaning marathon, I’m talking grout scrubbing, corner cleaning, heavy duty kind of stuff. So this weekend I get to do the fun part — organizing! I’ll be tackling my little office space. What corner in your home could use some extra organization?
